Privacy Policy

PDFMoves is built around one simple principle: your files are yours. This policy explains exactly what happens (and doesn't happen) when you use our tools.

The Short Version

• Your PDF files are processed entirely in your browser
• Files are never uploaded to any server, including ours
• We don't ask you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information
• We collect only anonymous, aggregated visit statistics — no cookies, no tracking

How Your PDF Files Are Handled

When you open a PDF in PDFMoves to merge, split, reorder, add page numbers, or add markup, the entire process happens locally in your web browser using JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib and pdf.js). At no point does your file leave your device. We have no servers that process your files, and we have no way to access them.

This means:

• We cannot see the contents of your PDFs
• We do not store your files
• We cannot recover files for you if you lose them
• Once you close the browser tab, all file data is gone from memory

What We Store on Your Device

PDFMoves uses your browser's localStorage to remember a few small preferences so the site behaves the way you like on your next visit:

• Your selected language (English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, or French)
• Your theme preference (light or dark mode)

This data stays on your device only. It is not transmitted to us or anyone else. You can clear it anytime by clearing your browser's site data for pdfmoves.com.

Anonymous Visit Statistics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how many people visit PDFMoves and which pages are popular. This service is privacy-friendly and:

• Does not use cookies
• Does not track you across other websites
• Does not collect personally identifiable information
• Records only aggregated, anonymous data such as page views, country, browser, and operating system

Because no cookies or personal data are involved, no consent banner is required under GDPR or similar regulations.

Third-Party Resources

To make the site fast and accessible, PDFMoves loads a few resources from third-party content delivery networks (CDNs):

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — for the Outfit and JetBrains Mono typefaces
• Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — for the pdf-lib and pdf.js JavaScript libraries

When your browser requests these files, the CDN providers may log standard server data such as your IP address. We have no control over these providers' policies. You can review them at the providers' websites.

Cookies

PDFMoves does not set any cookies. The localStorage entries described above are not cookies and cannot be used for cross-site tracking.

Children's Privacy

PDFMoves does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The service is suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect new features or legal requirements. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
